Profile
Blitz has been the Seahawks’ aerial ambassador since 1998, pumping up the famous “12s” fan base at every home game. He is known for daring stadium entrances — including skydives and roof jumps — and was named NFL Mascot of the Year in 2022 for both his on-field energy and his extensive community outreach. His 2025 Mascot Hall of Fame induction was announced live on Good Morning America on National Mascot Day.
Fun Facts
- Blitz has made sky-high entrances including jumps alongside the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flight team — making him one of the few sports mascots to have flown in military formation.
- He earned the NFL’s ‘Anchor in the Community’ award in 2022 in addition to NFL Mascot of the Year, logging hundreds of charity and school visits every season.
- Blitz’s look underwent a major redesign in 2014 to more closely mirror the Seahawks’ updated team logo, giving him piercing green eyes and a sleeker, fiercer silhouette.
